OS 10.11.6 Mac Book Pro 15" Retina Pro: Intuitive, easy, clean interface. Comprehensive; converts many formats to ones that El Capitan can run. Works for Apple computers, tablets, phones, TV. Puts the finished product where you want it, not, necessarily, in iTunes. Cons: None that I’ve found yet.

Wasted 15 bucks. This is really easy to use and quick on conversion. But everything I have tried to convert has no audio. I tried contacting their support but not a single word. Friend helped me find a free solution that is working great.

I bought this app to do a simple conversion of an AVI file to MP4 or MOV format for upload to a subscription-only photo and video sharing website. I’ve used the service for 10 years without problem. My converted AVI file (to MP4 format) wasn’t recognized by that site. Customer Service there says the file format isn’t recognized because the file is corrupted. Not a happy camper. And even it the file format were recognized I’d be an unhappy camper because the resolution of the output file is abysmal. There are free apps that may be a bit more complicated to use but deliver uncorrupted output in better resolution.

Simple AVI file off security cam. Other free app converted it but only 1/3 (that’s why it was free). Decided to buy this one based on reviews. Immediate Error with no substantive explanation.

I needed a video converter to work with i Movie since Apple does not get along with any other OS maker… and neither do their files (most of the time, mostly windows) I converted .AVI files to .MOV (you can choose resolution up to 1080 full HD) And afterwards converted the iMovie file (.MOV) to (.MP4) to be able to play them on some chrome books and loop the video (CTRL+Click if you were wondering) Totally recommend this converter for price and ease of use (Drag and drop LITERALLY)

It’s a great converter and meets almost all of your expectations. Doesn’t crash and it’s rather fast. You can’t go wrong with $5.99

The only reason I bought this was to convert a WMV (widnows media file) to something that iMovies can read. It didn’t work - got an immediate error. I want my money back.

This app is a bargain for $6. I have used other video converters, both free and more expensive than AnyVideo Converter HD, but this is as good and fast as any. Yes, it is a very basic interface, and not necessarily pleasing on the eyes, but that is not what is important. What is important is it converts very well and very quickly. I absolutely recommend this app. There isn’t a better deal for the price.

I do a lot of video conversion and video creation using my Mac. This is a great little app and is extremely easy to use and works like a charm. That being said it does not have a huge amount of flexibility like some free apps do (such as Handbrake). I still use this app on an almost daily basis because it converts to almost a lossless quality from the original source file.

I’ll make this simple. There’s no other app in the App Store that compares. Don’t buy Smart Converter Pro, becuase it doesn’t provide custom conversion. It appears that only AnyVideo converter provides customer conversion. And it’s fifteen dollars less than its competitor.

This application is great! It’s easy to use and has options for pretty much any type of video codec. Absolutley worth it!

I bought this because it was the easiest to use. I have been very happy with the ease of use and the results of this program. It is so simple to use, no fancy extras (which I do not need). I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an easy to use and straightforward program.

Does eactly what it says it does and does it well. Not the most pleasing GUI but it works and is easy to use. Converts anything Ive thrown at it so far…MKV AVI WMV mostly.

i have tried many apps and many variations but this software is the best that i have used!. I mostly use it to convert to m4v file for apple TV but you can convert almost any format to any format. They properly named this software! the only think i would like to see if it could tag the file with the data, but that is not what this does, i used identify for that. it truly is a 5 star program!

i have yet to see this app really do very much if anything at all. however what i do like about it is that it creates a thumbnail picture for the library so you can see what the clip is.

I’ve used this on hundreds of old video files, and have received error files on about five. (These were very, very old .rv files). The converted files show no reduction in quality. More recent files, especially .mkv files, are converted incredibly quickly. Most .avi and .wmv files, however, will take some time — maybe 30 minutes or so on an old Mac Pro. As the app can run on batches of files, it’s not a problem to load it up and let it run over night. Now all my videos are easily playable on all my iOS devices.
